Robert “Bob” Somerville
Robert (Bob) John Somerville, Melrose, died very unexpectedly on 11-17-2013. His family was at his side as he left this earthly life. He will be sadly missed.
He was born to John & Fern (Haldeman) Somerville on 02-22-1949. He married Margaret (Peggy) Schumacher on 11-02-1968. He worked on the family farm until 1973. After that he did carpenter work until 2001 when he started The WoodShed Creations with Peggy. He worked at this until his death. He was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors and his birds in the winter.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy, Children-Lisa, Midland,NC – Steven (Penne) and Laura(Randy) of Melrose, six Grandchildren-Zachery, Mason, Paige, Kylie, Erik & Katie, three sisters-Veda, Vicki, Valerie and their families, sister-in-law-Nancy, many nieces, nephews, Aunts & Uncles And his 4 legged buddies – Sam & Kodi.
He was preceded in death by his paternal & maternal grandparents, his parents, brother, Tom and numerous Aunts and Uncles.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Coulee Region Cremation Group, 133 Mason St., Onalaska. The Reverend Chuck Robinson will officiate. Visitations will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm and again from 10:00 am until the service both at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers or plants, memorials are preferred.
