Robert Gene McAllister was born on December 31, 1957 in Brainerd, Minnesota to parents, Bruce and Irene McAllister. He died on September 20, 2018 in La Crosse, Wisconsin at the age of 60. Robert loved to travel and he had been in all the states except Hawaii. He was a craftsman with his hands and made many things from yard ornaments to windmills, jewelry to picture frames. He was a handyman and always had his hands busy with projects. He loved motorcycles and he loved music. He played the guitar and sang with The McAllister Family Gospel Singers as they toured to different churches throughout Colorado and Nebraska. He loved his nieces and nephews and they adored him and was always anxious to hear about Uncle Robs traveling adventures. He married late in life to Judy Rodriguez and with this union, Rob became a dad, grandpa and great grandpa. Every person in Robs life was special to him. He always made everyone feel at ease and they would know that he cared for them very deeply.

Rob is survived by his wife, Judy; stepsons, John, Bobby, Emery and wife Tara; stepdaughter, Samantha Steers; sisters, Debbie Moorhouse, Cheryl Wade, Dolly Smith and husband Graeme, Teri Herrewig and husband Jeffery; brothers, Steve McAllister and wife Mitzi, and his twin brother Richard McAllister and wife Charlotte;step grandchildren, Tyler, John Russell, Bryan, Monica, Stesha, and Haley; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Irene; two brothers, infant Baby Robert and Jess(Dan) McAllister; grandparents Dan and Hedwig McAllister and Jess and Mildred Matchett; and nephew, Daniel.

A graveside memorial service will be held in Jenkins, Minn at a later date. Rob was loved and will be missed by many.

Rob was my baby brother. He loved to camp and fish and he loved his coffee. We would sit for hours and play card games or sit around a fire pit and tell stories. Rob, I will miss you every day until we meet again someday soon.
    Your sister, Dolly
