Roger Allen Kubis
Roger Allen Kubis, age 85, passed on March 24th, 2025, at St Anne’s Hospice in Winona MN. He was surrounded and comforted by his 4 Children. Roger lived a life with a positive attitude, grounded by his commitment to family and his faith in God.
Roger was born 10-12-1939 to Bernard and Evelyn (Urbick) Kubis in Arcadia WI. Roger was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting, trapping and fishing with his kids, grandkids as well as many close friends and family.
Roger served in the Army Co C, 1st BG,128th Inf, 32nd Division, at Fort Lewis Washington. He received Decorations and medals for expert Rifle M1 Garand. After his military career, Roger worked as a Welding Inspector for Midwest Gas and Mueller Gas Company. After his retirement Roger and his wife enjoyed traveling in their motorhome.
Roger was preceded in death by his loving wife MaryAnn, Father Bernard, Mother Evelyn and Brother Duane.
Roger will be greatly missed by his children Kevin (Tammy) Kubis, Scott (Ginny) Kubis, Brad (Lorene) Kubis and Shelley (Dave) Collins, along with 12 grandkids and 21 great-grandkids.
Funeral service will be at NorthCreek Church Thursday, April 10, 9:00 am visitation church basement, Mass at 11:00 followed by cemetery service.
Roger was a special brother-in-law….an only child that wasn’t scared off
by having 4 sister-in-laws and 6 brother-in-laws…. he became one of us!
There was a special bond and love between Roger and our family….
He will be missed and remembered as a great and special man!
Oh Roger- I just saw you a few days ago. Happy and witty as always. I didn’t know that would be our last laugh together. Thank you for trusting me with your finances for the last 14 years. Wishing you peace and rest in the comfort of the Lords arms.
