Roger Paul Poudrier
Roger Paul Poudrier, 74, of Holmen, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2014 at home surrounded by family. He was born November 3, 1940 in Chicopee, MA to Onil and Amanda Poudrier. He married Jo Larson on May 19, 2007 in Cornell, WI.
Roger taught science at Cooper School in Burlington, WI for 33 years.
He was a woodworking craftsman who enjoyed hunting, baking, and working with others in Alcoholics Anonymous. Roger was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 24 years.
He is survived by his wife, Jo Poudrier; daughters, Amanda (Peter) Erickson and Mira Poudrier; step daughters, Anna Bassett and Emma Bassett; grandchildren, Calvin, Samantha, and Corbin Erickson; brothers, Jacques, Richard, Raymond, and Albert; sisters, Pauline Henning, Jeanne Gendron, Madeleine Fisher, Lucie Nadeau; mother and father in law, Phil and Romayne Larson; sisters in law, Peggy Kelly, Julee Scherrer, and Kathy Spiegelhoff.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Onil and Amanda Poudrier; brothers, Gilbert and Norman; and sister, Frances Mason.
The family would like to thank Libby Scherrer Middleton, Mayo Clinic Health System Hospice, and all friends and family who visited and helped care for Roger.
A memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday December 20, 2014 at The Coulee Region Cremation Group and Funeral Home with visitation from 10:00 am until noon at the funeral home.
Sorry to learn of Rodger’s death. He was a longtime friend and co-worker in two occupations. We did many home remodeling projects together. We also have three major woodworking craftsman projects in our own home that is and will be a continuous reminder of my dear friend and his talents.
Sorry I can not be in attendance at the memorial service, but my thoughts are with the family at this exact hour. My condolences andy sincere sympathy to Roger’s family at this sad time – specially to Mandy and Mira. Wil Sass
