Ron Pryor, born Ronald Przybylski, died peacefully at his home on February 20, 2013. Ron was born on December 26, 1939 to Dan and Eleanor (Kleinschmidt) Przybylski. He had two brothers, Roger and Robert.

Ron graduated from Cotter High School in 1958. Later, he went on to graduate from Marquette University in 1962 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering making him a second-generation engineer.

He married his soul mate, Barbara Pfeiffer on September 1, 1962 and together they had two children, Jean and Mark. He and his wife started their business, Ronco Engineering Sales, Inc., located in Winona in 1964.

Ron was a very devoted father and he loved spending time with his children. He became more than a father-he became a friend. After losing his only son in 1989, Ron’s life changed forever. The following year, he and his wife started the Mark R. Pryor Foundation, awarding scholarships to students in and around the Winona area. In 2011, Ron started the Winona Dyslexia Group, a non-profit organization founded to help students in the community who are struggling with reading. Ron loved to help people and had a soft spot for kids. He enjoyed giving back to the community.

When he wasn’t working, Ron enjoyed “playing” outside on his tractor and walking the hills near his home. Ron enjoyed traveling and soaking up the sun at his condo in Florida. He loved spending time with his family and friends. – Always staying active and never letting anything slow him down.

Ron is preceded in death by his Mother and Father; wife, Barbara, son, Mark; and his brother, Roger. He is survived by his daughter, Jean Pryor, son-in-law, Dave and brother, Robert Shibilski as well as nieces, nephews, friends and Ronco family.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Memorial donations may be sent to the Mark R. Pryor Foundation at P.O. Box 889, Winona, MN 55987. Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.
