Obituary

Russell William Weber

October 12, 2012

Russell William Weber, 40, of Onalaska, passed away at his home on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012. He was born on December 23, 1971 to Robert and Reita (Page) Weber. He married his soul mate and love of his life, Tonjia (McAllister) on January 11, 2003 in La Crosse at the Onalaska United Methodist Church.

Russ earned a dual degree in Physics and Electrical Engineering from UW-LaCrosse and UW-Madison on December 14, 2003. His love of anything electronic was known to everyone and he always had a project in the works. Russ always thought of everyone else before himself. If someone needed something fixed, they all knew to call Russ, the fix it man. He couldn’t talk without smiling and trying to make others smile. His quirky sense of humor will be deeply missed. His many holiday phone calls and his 4:00am Happy Turkey Day gobble will forever live in our hearts.

Russ lived and breathed for his children, Berlin and Remy. No matter what pain he was in, his body was a playground for them. He invested all his time and energy to provide entertainment and learning for any child he came in contact with. He was such a patient tutor for many kids and their math problems. There is not enough paper or ink to list the many ways that he touched and inspired his kids. He worked hard to influence them to carry on his passion for being a “geek”. Super Heroes, Science Fiction and History will never be looked at the same. Piggy back rides up to bed will be dearly missed and family hugs will be one less short. We know you’re up North in Heaven as Berlin would pray. Be happy and be at peace.

Russ is survived by his wife, Tonjia of nine years, daughter Berlin and son Remington. Mother, Reita (Page) Weber of La Crosse, brothers Robert Weber (Cheryl) of Winter Garden, FL, and Todd Taylor of LaCrosse, sister Renee Weber (Jan) of Galesville and baby brother, Ronald Weber (Pepper) of Onalaska. He is also survived by many aunt, uncles and cousins. Nephews and nieces, Richard Weber, Brian, Ben and Stacey Erickson, Ross and Rachael Taylor and his Goddaughter, Skyler Knudson.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Weber, paternal grandparents, Glenn and Marion Weber and maternal grandparents, Robert and Florence Page, niece Teri Weber and several aunts and uncles.

A special thank you to Pastor Jenny Arneson for your many hours of comfort, Coulee Cremation Group for your tender and professional care, many family members for food, hugs and conversation and a special thank you to Russ’s new Redwood Terrace family for their outpouring of love and concern and many childcare hours.

Services will be held Saturday, Oct. 6 at the Onalaska United Methodist Church with Pastor Jenny Arneson officiating. Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00am with services at 11:00am. A private burial will be held at a later date.

Condolences
