Ryan David Walker
Ryan David Walker, 46, of La Crosse, WI, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 27th, 2025 at Mayo Clinic Health Clinic in La Crosse, WI. He was born on July 20, 1978 to David and Denise Walker.
Ryan passed away due to complications from transplant surgery. Ryan grew up in Onalaska and loved playing hockey, soccer, tennis and baseball; he was a natural born athlete. Ryan also enjoyed following the Brewers, Packers, Badgers and Bucks. He loved being a dad to Elayna and watching her grow into a responsible, caring, young woman.
He is survived by his mother, Denise Walker, father, David Walker (stepmother, Cheryl Walker), Daughter, Elayna Walker, sister, Kristin (Patrick) Paradise, brother, Thomas Walker, and nephews, Alex and Parker Paradise, aunt and godmother, Debbie Degenhardt, and cousins, Jason and Jeremy Degenhardt. He is also survived by his special friend, Dana Leisgang.
Ryan is preceded in death by his grandmother, Millie Jansky.

His service will be held on Friday, May 23rd at 10:00 am at First Lutheran Church, 410 Main St Onalaska, WI with a visitation from 9:00 am until the time of the service. Pastor Karyn Bodenschatz will officiate. There will be a Burial following the service at the Onalaska Cemetery and a luncheon at the Onalaska American Legion. Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting his family.
I feel like I knew Ryan, through his devoted, sweet mother, Denise, whom I worked with for many years. He was so fortunate to have a mom like her, as well as friends, family, and medical care team. RIP, Ryan🙏🏻🌷

Our condolences Denise and family. So sorry to hear the sad news on Ryan. Ryan was a very talented hockey player and we enjoyed his time on the Hilltoppers!
