Of La Crosse- Age 57, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2011, in LaCrosse, WI.

Steve was born on October 19, 1953, to William and Gwendolyn Gums in Burlington, WI.  Steve had a love for hunting, fishing and especially music.  He is survived by his sons, Louis and Larry. Brother of William (Carolyn) Gums, Daniel (Carol) Gums, Leonard (Linda) Gums and Diane (Thomas) Hosking. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents and a brother (Lawrence A. Gums). A celebration of Steve’s life will be held from 4-7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 16, 2011, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 198 Westridge Ave, Burlington, WI. A graveside service will also be held on Friday at 3:00 p.m. at Burlington Cemetery, County Hwy, W, Burlington, WI. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred. Coulee Region Cremation Group of La Crosse is assisting the family.
