Tammy Gabrielson-Pete
Tammy Gabrielson-Pete, 67, of Galesville, WI passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 12, 2025 in the presence of her loving family. Tammy was born October 14, 1957 to Arlo Duane Gabrielson and MaryAnn (Schwabenbauer) Gabrielson.
She attended and graduated from Central High School. When she was young, Tammy worked at Quillins Supermarket where she met and maintained a strong circle of friends. In 1986, Tammy started working for the City of La Crosse in a variety of positions, ultimately retiring at the La Crosse County Regional Airport in 2014.
In 1992, Tammy met her soulmate, Sam Pete. They married on November 8th 2004. Together the two enjoyed a life of love and friendship. Tammy had a beautiful spirit within. Her love, passion and empathy for people was unmatched. She had a deep spirituality that bound her to respect, appreciate and care for all of creation. Her numerous pets and birdhouse feeding stations demonstrate this. Her eye for decorating was exquisite and their home was always warm and inviting for everyone. She loved creating, whether it was with paint, fabric or stained glass and enjoyed giving these projects to those she loved. She loved nature and most importantly spending time with her family.
She is survived by her mother MaryAnn Gabrielson La Crosse, WI; husband Sam Pete of Galesville, WI; daughter Kim (Pete) Isensee of Onalaska, WI; son Kevin Pete of Columbia, MO; sister Lynn Keller of Fuquay Varina, NC; brother Randy Gabrielson (Cindy Hutton) of La Crosse, WI; two grandchildren Ashley Mendell of Inver Grove Heights, MN and Kyle Mendell of Onalaska, WI; a niece Katelyn Keller of Fuquay Varina, NC ; one nephew Frankie Keller of Minneapolis, MN; and one great niece Autumn Gilson of Fuquay Varina, NC.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, her father, and one niece.
A celebration of life will be held in the coming months. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Coulee Region Humane Society.
Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family at this time.
Sam, I am so very sorry about Tammy. She was always so upbeat and had a beautiful, happy smile. You two made a wonderful life together.
Always had a smile on her face. She was our angel on earth. My heart hurts for you brother Sam.
