Thomas J. Jansky
Thomas J. Jansky, 83, of Onalaska, passed away peacefully, at Gunderson Health System, Wednesday, June 12, 2024. He was surrounded by his wife and family.
Tom was born February 25, 1941, in La Crosse, WI, to Al and Clara Jansky. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo, the love of his life for over 50 years. He is also survived by his son, Jeff of Helena, Montana, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and many lifelong friends.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Al and Clara Jansky; a sister, Marian (Gerald) Buswell; and two brothers, Dick and Jerry (Janet) Jansky.
Tom served in the US Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962. He was proud of his Military Service. After serving in the Navy, he moved to Kenosha, WI, where he was a machinist at Snap on Tools for over 30 years. He then retired and moved back to La Crosse, WI, where he was co-owner of Digger’s Sting Restaurant until they sold it in 2021.
Tom was an Avid fisherman his entire life. He spent countless hours fishing between La Crosse and Madison.

The family will receive friends at The Gathering Place, 133 Mason Street Onalaska, WI 54650, on Friday, June 21, 2024, from 1:30-3:30 p.m. with Military Honors to follow.
His remembrance service will be live-streamed via the zoom app here at 2:45 pm.

My condolences to Mary, family, and friends.
I have enjoyed many hours out fishing with Tom. I always had to check with him before I tossed that “keeper” back! Lol! My life is much richer having known him. Rest in peace Tom.
