William “Bill” Frank Meyer, 88, of Soldiers Grove, WI passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital, in La Crosse, WI. He was born on Feb. 25, 1930 to Arno and Norma Meyer. He married Mary Marlene Summers on December 31, 1953 at Episcopal Church of the Ascension, in Pueblo, CO. He had a lifelong interest in all aspects of apple growing and enjoyed skiing and scuba diving. He is survived by his wife, Marlene Meyer; sons, Andrew D. Meyer, and Michael A. Meyer; granddaughters, Jennifer Meyer, Raquel Meyer, Kelly Meyer; grandsons, Aaron Meyer, David Meyer; great grandsons, Lance Gander, Sean Meyer, Thomas Carter, Declon Carter, and great granddaughter, Piper Carter. He was preceded in death by his father, Arno A. Meyer; mother, Norma Meyer (Angel); sister, Marilyn Mackle (Meyer); brother, Frederic “Fritz” Meyer; and daughter, Valerie Ann Meyer. There will be a Celebration of Life held in the new Gays Mills community center for Bill on Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 1 to 4 PM.
