Harvey Vincent Jostad
Harvey Vincent Jostad, of Holmen, passed away peacefully at the Tomah VA, after a long battle with cancer on Wednesday, May 15, 2019. Harvey was born on May 17,1937 to Harvey and Valeria Jostad. He was a graduate of Galesville high school. After high school he joined the army, and spent two and a half years in Germany, before coming home in 1962.
On September 28,1963 he married Annette Hetzel. Together they had three children, Paul,Wanda and the late Laura Jostad. He also has one granddaughter Caylee Jostad. After Annette passed away in 2001, he later married his friend Joyce. Harvey is survived by sisters Joyce Dolle, Mary (Bob) Walski,and brothers Blaine (Jean) Jostad and Robert Jostad. Preceding Harvey in death were his sister Imelda Lilla and brother John Jostad and his parents .
Harvey was a proud and past president of the Holmen American Legion. He also enjoyed many trips to Branson ,Missouri. After retirement he enjoyed his time working at the Holmen compost site ,he really enjoyed talking to the people who came to drop off at the site.
A special thank you to Robert Jostad and Joyce Jostad for all the extra help they provided Harvey in his time of need.
