Stephen Joseph Zimmer
Stephen Joseph Zimmer age 26, of Onalaska Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at his home in Onalaska. He was born on May 22, 1994 to Dean and Sandy Zimmer. He graduated from Onalaska high school in 2012.
Stephen had many interests with nature. He enjoyed hiking, biking and fishing. He liked having collections beginning with dinosaurs at an early age and ending with coin collecting along with sports and rap music.
He is survived by his parents, Dean and Sandy Zimmer of Onalaska. Brothers, Aaron (Holly) Zimmer of Madison, Michael (Amy) Zimmer of Onalaska, Paul (Breanna) Zimmer of Mequon. Sisters, Rebecca (John) Mortellaro of St. Paul, MN, Sarah Zimmer of Denver Colorado, Emily (Drew) Brenengen of Galesville, WI, and Jennifer Zimmer of La Crosse. Half-brothers James Wrobel of La Crosse and David Wrobel of Manitowoc, WI. Half-sister Samantha Larson of Chicago, IL. He leaves behind grandparents, several aunts and uncles, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his birth mother, Lisa Genardo; half-brother, Jacob Gassen; and cousin, Corey Blaedorn.

Stephen is going to be missed so very dearly! When he was a little boy he was so loving and full of energy. He was always so curious and eager to learn new things. Stephen worked for us at PeopleReady. He was such a good person and always smiling and happy. We were shocked to learn of his passing. And hope the family can find peace at this terrible time. In our line of work, we meet so many people that its impossible to remember them all. But the good ones stand out. Stephen was a good one. We will miss him tremendously…
