Benjamin A. Benson 48 of Sparta, Passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on February 03, 2024 at Gundersen Health System. He was born on May 30, 1975  to Nancy (Cline) and Lavern Benson. Benjamin was taken from us too soon by pancreatic cancer.

Ben cared deeply for his friends and family. Benjamin was a son, brother, uncle, nephew and a great friend to many. He loved his four-legged companion, Brutus. He was a jokester and loved to have fun.

Ben enjoyed putting together models ever since he was a child. He loved working on tractors (big/small, antique, or new) along with cars with his father. When he was a child, he would spend his summers with grandma and grandpa Benson in Darlington. As Ben got older, he started his career out working on tractors. He enjoyed playing darts, pool, fixing/restoring cars and having penny wars. His friends and him had many adventures over the years, including concerts and penny wars. He enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle and his Plymouth Roadrunner. Ben would go down to visit his cousin Matt and Liz. All three would cause some mischief. Ben was the one to keep Matt and Liz out of trouble.

Before Ben’s father passed away, he got to enjoy going on the Badger Honor Flight with his dad to see the Vietnam Memorial. After his father passed away, Ben continued his dad’s love for restoring antique tractors and toy tractors. Ben finished restoring his dads 1955 Crown Victoria. After he was done restoring the car. He drove to his mother’s house, so she could be the first to ride in it. He looked up to his father, who was his hero.

William (Ben’s nephew) favorite memory of Ben is “Ben putting me on his motorcycle for the first time”, “taking me for my first motorcycle ride” and “taking me out for supper”.

He is survived by his mother Nancy Benson, sister Heidi Benson, sister Amanda (Leif) Hanson, nephew William Hanson. aunt Dee (Jim) Collins, aunt Terry Benson, many maternal aunts, uncles, cousins on the Benson and Cline side.
