Maevella Marie Peterson “Mae”, 46 years young, passed away on October 20th, 2023 at Mayo Clinic Health System- La Crosse.

She was born on December 15th, 1976 in Killeen, TX to Rodney and Deanna Peterson. After being in Texas where her father was stationed for the first 2 years of life, she then moved back to La Crosse, WI where her parents are from and lived the rest of her life in the La Crosse area.

She was intelligent and fierce in all that she did.

Mae. I am devastated to learn of your passing. Condolences to your family. Big hugs to Angel, Jackie and Kim. I have many memories with you all and send all of my love. Mae was a great unwavering friend, no matter the time that had passed between seeing each other. I remember and still have the REM cassette tape you gifted to me. Every time I listen to them I remember dancing in your room. Your laugh was infectious. I could go on and on! I will miss you my friend and rest easy now ?

I’m devastated to read of your passing. I’ve known you since grade school and I always liked you, I remember eating pancakes at your grandma’s house when you were living with her and playing with your little dog, Breezy.
I’m sorry we drifted apart, I doubt I could’ve made a difference in how your life turned out but I still could’ve been a better friend.
I’m so sad that you’re gone.
