Alan L. Blencoe, 70, of Holmen, passed away September 14, 2021. He was born  in Black River Falls to Walter and Opal Blencoe. He was a proud veteran who served in Viet Nam. Among his other interests were gathering with friends and family for good food and conversation, travel to far off places such as Israel with best friends or a short road trip. Everything to Al was an adventure. He also loved collecting books and people and he believed that one should never stop learning. My condolences to Al’s family. When he was a dispatcher, I worked at Onalaska Police Dept. We met when he called & asked what flavor our aqua cars were,
I said, “Blueberry”. We then met face-to-face at a training of “How to Deal With Difficult People”. He had a sense of humor that only his family & friends understood. His family is in my prayers!
