Anthony Gustav Fimple
November 5th, 2000 – June 27th, 2020
Anthony was a peaceful, kind, and generous person. As a child he was fun and responsible. As a young adult, we were just beginning to get a glimpse of the man he would become.
Anthony was born on board Naval Air Station, Whidbey Island Washington. During his short life he was able to travel all over this country. He stood in awe of El Capitan in Yosemite and vowed to climb it one day. He waded in the ocean on both coasts, and explored landmarks from Dallas, to Atlanta, to Minneapolis. He was full of a curiosity and wonder that never dulled.
He never neglected to show thanks for even the smallest kindness, and always took time to be kind to others. He truly was the best of us.
Anthony is survived by his parents Gustav and Kristin Fimple, and his sisters Magdalena and Norah. He also leaves behind his grandparents, innumerable family, extended family, and friends.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a small family only service will be held at his favorite park on Tuesday, July 7th. When social distancing and public gathering rules are relaxed, a public memorial will be announced.
Safe travels Mister Anthony…we can’t wait to see you again.
We are so very saddened by your loss.He sounds like he was an amazing human being. We hope you will find some comfort in that he was an organ donor. My husband received his gift of life a year ago and we think of that family every single day.
Anthony,
Your Great Uncle Max, Great Aunt Rita and your Second Cousins, Jakob, Naomi and Nicole would have enjoyed meeting you. We would have liked to have been with your family to honor your life, but we understand they need their privacy and safety.
Jesus,
Be with Anthony’s family as they remember him and honor his life. Give them Your peace and comfort.
I’m a retired Navy veteran and when I heard of this young man, I was so wondering about what his future in the U. S. Navy would have been like… and of his future life which was so tragically and senselessly cut short. God Bless the family in this terrible time of loss.
This was a beautiful message of who Anthony was. We know that the heart ache will be there forever, but we hope that peace finds us soon for those of us who were left behind for now. Until we see you again, the Rombaoas will miss you kid.
He truly was a great guy. Always respectful when here visiting my daughter and hanging out. Definitely will be missed.
Anthony was my son Christopher’s best friend when we lived at NAS Lemoore. Always so kind, polite, and fun to have around. We will miss you and will never forget how kind and sweet you were. Our condolences to the Fimple family.
My heart goes out to you in sympathy and my prayers are with you. I know my Mother, Letha, would have been heartsick for you.
Silently, one by one,
in the infinite meadows of Heaven;
Blossomed the lovely stars,

Peace be with you at this difficult time. Prayers from the Hicke Family
Tears have fallen from my eyes many times as I think of a boy I never met. I can only imagine the pain that the family and friends are feeling. Grieve now…and grieve together. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
“Think about it. There isn’t heartache if there hasn’t been joy. You wouldn’t feel loss of there hadn’t been love”
My heart was broken when I saw the news about Anthony. While I may not has been a close friend of his I had worked with him at Wiscoprs as one of the crew leaders. He was not in my crew but we often talked during our lunch brake. He was a bright young man full of laughter and life. I will never forget the one time my crew and the crew he was on were working down on river side and we all spotted a blue barrel floating down the rive. A group of us, Anthony included, chased after that barrel to pull it from the river. We all laughed and scream with joy as we chased it and tried to pull it out. Once we got it out a small crowed had formed and cheered for all of us. It was such a fun moment to share and I am glad I will always have that memory of him reaching out on his stomach to try and put a rope around the barrel.
It is tragic that he was taken from this world and my heart goes out to his family. I will never forget this young man.
We can’t image the pain you are going through and our hearts go out to your family. I have heard nothing but great things about your son. Our deepest condolences.
Kristin, Gus, Norah and Maggie, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I only knew Anthony as a baby/toddler at Whidbey Island. He sounded like such a wonderful young man. May your memories comfort you, sending you hugs and prayers.
Gus, Kristin, Magdalena, & Norah – I just learned of this and am so sorry. He was such a great kid. I remember him to be gentle, kind, and highly intuitive.
Please accept my sincere condolences. I think of & remember you all warmly and will continue to do so.
