Ardell B. Hilt
Life’s journey peacefully continues as Ardell B. Hilt, 86 years departed this life with family by her side on February 20, 2021
She grew up in West Salem, WI until her marriage and residing in Galesville, WI.
Ardell had a passion working with the public at Bank of West Salem and accounting at Gale Packing. Later, providing childcare for her grandchildren was great happiness for her and always cherished by her family. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Galesville, WI.
Ardell enjoyed the family cottage, boating and snowmobiling with friends. She also enjoyed handiwork, card games and excelled in crossword puzzles.
Ardell always had time to listen, shared kindness and love with the best hugs. Family and Hospice admired her strength and determination.
She is survived by sister Marilyn (Bill) Pfaff of Harmony, MN; daughters, Paula(Dennis) Reincke and Mary(Steve) Sheffer of Trempealeau, WI; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
She was also fond of many nieces and nephews.
Ardell is preceded in death by her husband, Harold; sister, Serena LeJeune.
We extend special thanks and supportive care to Gundersen Health system Hospice team, Dr Larry Skendzel and Dr. S. Escher for years of comfort and supportive care.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 27, 2020 at The Gathering Place, 133 Mason St. Onalaska with visitation from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Chaplain Jeff Thomson will officiate.
I have very fond memories of Ardelle and Harold. Our parents were great friends and got together at each other’s houses regularly. Didnt have sitters back then so us kids got to get together to. They are all reuniting again in heaven.❤❤
