Bernard W. “Bernie” Revels, 57, of Lafarge passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse. He was born on December 1, 1962 to Verlo O. and Delores (Teal) Revels, in Hillsboro. He attended Hillsboro Schools and later received his GED.

Bernie started working at a very young age and worked for several employers around the Hillsboro area. His true passion was always farming. He had a love for all animals, especially his dog Bandit and his cat Chance. He also liked to help out at the Lafarge Farmers Market. He loved shooting pool and darts and would never turn down a cold beer and a warm bar stool.

He is survived by his longtime girlfriend Bonnie Henthorn; his children KaRae (Revels) Schaub, Mindy (Revels) and Euriah Brueggeman, Preston Revels, Dana Revels and Amanda Anderson and fiancé Jeff Stumpo; his grandchildren Reed, Alexis, Logan, Michael, Max and Makiah; his siblings Francis Revels, Edward Revels and Tammy (Revels) Karstetter. He is also survived by many aunts and uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his infant daughter Kady, his parents Verlo and Delores, brothers Verlo “Turtle” and Gary Revels.

Friends are welcome to join his family at the Mount Vernon Cemetery on January 30, 2020 at 3:00pm for his interment. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Hillsboro Fireman’s Community Center from 4:00 – 7:00.

The family would like to acknowledge Julie Gabel and Jim Herlitz for all of their help and support during the time our father spent in the hospital.
