Betty J. Ellefson
Betty J. Ellefson of Cashton, Wisconsin passed away at her home surrounded by family on Thursday, September 10th, 2020.
Betty was born in Beloit, Wisconsin, on June 25th, 1957, daughter of Robert and Delores (Williams) Wessels. She married Leroy Ellefson on November 4th, 1979 in Richland Center, Wisconsin. Betty enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards, bowling league, dancing, and traveling. Betty worked at Main Street Café in Viroqua, Home Health Care and managed Family Dollar in Janesville until she retired.
Betty’s family would like to thank St. Croix Hospice for all the care they gave to Betty and the family.
Betty is survived by her children, son Bobby Ellefson, two daughters Shelly Ellefson (Jeremiah Pappenfuss) and Marissa (Brad) Lewis, granddaughter Rhiannon Mackovich, her mother and father Shirley and Robert Wessels, her bothers Vance (Lenor) Hirst, Bobby (Julie) Wessels, and Victor Hirst, two brothers-in-law Duane (Carolyn) Ellefson, and Steve Ellefson, sister-in-law Darlene Ellefson, many nieces and nephews, special cousins Judy Squier and Kathy Johnson, and by her special friend Preston Pappenfuss.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband Leroy Ellefson, her mother Delores Wessels, brother Mark Wessels, grandmother and grandfather George and Rose Wessels, and her aunt Phyliss Wessels.

There are no words to say how sad the news was about your Mother. But she will never be forgotten by the people she touched in her life along the way and will always be with you in your heart and soul and remembered as well through your childhood memories!
