Obituary

Brady Lynn Fredrickson

January 23, 2024 | 20 comments

Our dear husband, dad, brother and grandpa, Brady Lynn, tragically passed away on Thursday, January 18 at the age of 61. We didn’t get to say goodbye, but the countless memories we carry in our hearts will last a lifetime.

He was a bright spot in the lives of his family and his many friends.  Brady worked when he had to, and played when he could.  We all enjoyed his great sense of humor, his loyalty to family and friends, his eternal optimism, and we will always be grateful for his heart of gold.  He was a “charmer”.

His children adored him, and his greatest success was being the best Dad!  Family camping trips, riding his Harley, deer hunting, and spending time with his friends in his garage, or in theirs, gave him stories to tell and memories to keep.

Brady  was born September 15, 1962 to Ronald and Luan Fredrickson, and enjoyed life on the farm on Nottingham Ridge in Viroqua.   At an early age, he seemed to enjoy “taking things apart”, and later on, learned how to manage a successful garage on the North Side of LaCrosse, “Brady’s Auto Service”.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Fredrickson of 34 years; children, Ashley (Tyler) Oldenburg, Austen Fredrickson, Abbey Fredrickson, Alan Fry; grandchildren, Anthony, Andrew, Kaylee, Jayda, Coltyn, and Camryn Fry, Ava and Eli Oldenburg; siblings, Cyndi (Bob) Wise, Kevin (Midge) Fredrickson, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his beloved 17 year old dog, Justice.

Those who have gone before: his parents, in-laws, John and Shirley Dissmore, brothers’-in-law, Alan and Dennis Dissmore, and nephew, Tyler Wise.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2023 at 11:00 am at The Gathering Place, 133 Mason St., Onalaska.  Pastor Scott Skogan will officiate.  Visitations will be held Friday, January 26th from 4pm to 7pm and also one hour prior to the service on Saturday.  Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.  Please wear your favorite Harley gear in honor of Brady.
