Passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday October 18th at home
She was born on December 13th, 1969 to Arlette and Olin Knudsen.
She married Joel John Sebranek May 28th, 1994 at First Lutheran Church in Onalaska, WI
Chris Grew up in the city of Onalaska. She graduated from Onalaska High School Class of 1988. Chris went to UW-La Crosse where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. One of her greatest accomplishments was becoming a National Board Certified Teacher. Her family, friends, and students were her world. Chris had a big heart, strong faith, and could strike up a conversation with anyone. She had the ability to always make people feel welcome. She will be deeply missed by family, friends, and anyone who knew her.
Chris is survived by her husband Joel Sebranek, sons Will Sebranek and Luke Sebranek, and Daughter Siri Sebranek. Her parents Olin and Arlette Knudsen and Brother Tim Knudsen. Preceded in Death by Grandparents Stanley and Florence Knudsen, Marcelus and Louise Sherry, and her cousin Scott Sherry

Mrs. Sebranek was my daughter’s (Georgia) 2nd grade teacher at Trempealeau elementary. Georgia loved her, when she broke her wrist and couldn’t write Mrs. Sebranek went above and beyond for her. One time she sent me a picture of Georgia on Earth Day with her hair stuck in a tree during their walk! She was an amazing human. My heart goes out to you all. I am so sorry, The Harnage Family

Chris was a dear friend to me. The last time we saw one another we spend a long time laughing and catching up in the Ona library children’s section. She was a gift to all who knew her and was always her true beautiful self.
My heart goes out to you Joel and children or young adults at the loss of your wife and mother. I worked with Chris at Kindernook in Galesville as a Para and it was a joy to work with her and who could resist that great smile! My deepest sympathies.
I’m so sorry for all of your loss! Chris was one of a kind, always a smile on her face! The love she had for Joel, Will, Luke and Siri was undeniable! Thinking of all of you during this difficult time! Lots of love to you ALL!
