Obituary

Daniel (Dan) Mossholder

January 8, 2021 | 11 comments

Dan Mossholder, 65, of La Crosse, passed away on January 7, 2021 at Mayo Clinic Health System, La Crosse. He was born on September 20th, 1955.

His biggest passion was playing pool, but aside from the competition, meeting and playing with others is what he enjoyed the most.

If you ever saw license plates that read “bankda8” or “Rackemup,” you knew it was Blondie. He was a passionate Packer fan, and you could almost guarantee you would see him wearing a Yankees hat in any circumstance.

He never passed an opportunity to shake a veteran’s hand and thank them for their service. There are no words to describe the shock and pain of losing such a kindhearted person, but we can all carry on his legacy by serving others. Until we meet again, RIP Dan “Blondie” Mossholder.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Linda; son, Jesse (Kelcey) Mossholder; granddaughter Magnolia; his special niece, Sharissa (13), his dearest and life-long friend Richard Marano and family; sister, Marnette (Manny) Voeltz; many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law that considered him family. He was loved by all.

As a result of the timing of his passing, we are asking for any assistance that you may be willing to provide to help offset some of the cost.

Regardless of any monetary contribution that you may or may not choose, please reach out to those you care deeply for and tell them how you feel. We simply do not know when things like this will happen.
