Obituary

Daniel Scott Susen

April 15, 2022 | 7 comments

Daniel Scott Susen, 52, of Milwaukee WI passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 12th 2022 at his home in Holmen, WI.

“Hunkers” was born on June 12th, 1969 to Sharon Mae Susen (Klein) and Daniel Joseph Susen in Milwaukee, WI and spent his early days growing up in Greenfield, WI. As a teen, he would move with his mother and siblings to the Altoona/Eau Claire area. In 1993, he was blessed with the birth of his son and only child, Dylan.

Danny worked many years as a cement finisher for union oriented companies and was a classic “fix it” man, always working to make things better and look nice. He loved to tear apart bikes, cycles, sinks, his cars and whatever else needed fixing.

He loved to laugh and enjoyed the outdoors as well as a good movie. He loved his music loud and his waterbeds. Later in life, he found his faith and did his best to stay on the path. He remained close to his parents and family, and was a true son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, nephew and friend. He was faithful and fearless, someone you always wanted on your side. He will truly be missed by all who knew him and who’s life he was a part of.

Daniel is survived by his son Dylan Berg (Bryanna) and his grandchildren Bentley, Brayden, and Amaryah, of Eau Claire, WI. Father Daniel of Milwaukee, WI, Brother Brian of La Crosse, WI Brother Brad (Sheila) of Pulaski, PA, sister DeAnna Murphy (Brian) of Onalaska, WI and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends, including his closest friend Travis Henning of Holmen, WI.

He is preceded in death by his mother Sharon Susen, and Amy Berg (Dylan’s Mother).

Thank you to the staff at Coulee Region Cremation Group.

A private family ceremony was held.

“I thought of you today
But that is nothing new
I thought about you yesterday
And days before that too.
I think of you in silence
I often speak your name
All I have are memories and
Your pictures in a frame.
Your memory is a keepsake
From which I’ll never part
God has you in his arms
I have you in my heart.”

Condolences

I never met Daniel but after reading the memories others shared , I feel for your loss of a good man. Deanna is my sister in law and I pray that God will send the comforter to wrap his arms around you and your family and give you peace and protection. Rest in the arms of God now Daniel. We will meet someday on that other side.
