Danielle Elisa Abbott

May 29, 2020 | 8 comments

Danielle Elisa Abbott, 35, of La Crosse, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 23, 2020.

Although Danielle left us at a young age, we are comforted in knowing that her very long struggles in this life are over and that she can now join her grandparents in heaven for eternity.

She was born on August 3, 1984 to Darriel and Darcy (Brown) Abbott. She attended school in Onalaska and Holmen, graduating in 2002. She had worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years and multiple local restaurants.

She enjoyed music, artwork and spending time with her boys, Caleb (age 17) and Cameron (age 14), and her family and friends. Her most cherished gift to this world was the gift of life with her two beautiful boys and she loved them beyond measure. She wanted nothing more than for her boys to be happy and safe.

To my lovely boys-

I live now in that realm where angels of light reside,

Where harmony, true beauty and serenity abide.

And though we cannot share a hug, a smile, or tender touch,

I hope you know I’m in your heart and I love you ever so much.

~Mom~

Danielle is survived by her sons, Caleb Abbott and Cameron Johnson, her father, Darriel Abbott, her mother and stepfather, Darcy and Brook Baumann, her brother, Brandon Abbott, and her sister and best friend, Nicole Abbott. She is also survived by her paternal grandfather, Joseph Abbott, many aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather and grandmother, Charles and Delores Brown, her paternal grandmother, Sandra Abbott, maternal uncle, Chris Brown and paternal aunt, Dawn Abbott.

The family regrets the most difficult decision to not gather to celebrate Danielle’s life with her loved ones. In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, our wish was to protect the health of all of Danielle’s family and close friends.

A private family committal service will be held in the Onalaska Cemetery and will be officiated by Monsignor Steven Kachel of St. Patrick’s Parish. Coulee Region Cremation Group of Onalaska is in charge of arrangements.

Condolences

Although I don’t have the right words to help ease all of your pain Nikki or your families pain, I just want you all to remember she is in the best place and no longer struggling. Always reflect on the good times and great memories and know everyday she is right by your sides. Mourning a loss is definitely not easy, but I’m sure she would want to see all of your smiles, hear your laughs and reflection on all the great memories in this tough time. My deepest condolences and prayers to you all. Love you more Nikki, love Ashley and children!
