David “Dave” Roger Streck

David “Dave” Roger Streck age 84, of La Crosse, WI; passed away peacefully on November 15th, 2022 at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse. He was born on May 10th, 1938 to Theodore Streck and Kathrine (Davidson) Streck.

Dave was born and raised in the La Crosse area and enjoyed playing football and running in track during high school. He was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witness on July 21st, 1980. Dave was an accomplished artist who proudly displayed his paintings in his home. He was an avid skier at Mt. La Crosse until he could no longer ski. Dave was known for his quick, witty humor, generous spirit and willingness to help anyone in need.

Dave is survived by several cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Kathrine; sister, Sally; and two half-sisters.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on December 3rd, 2022 at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 1900 Bainbridge St. La Crosse, WI 54603. A lunch will follow at The Gathering Place, 133 Mason St., Onalaska, WI 54650.  You may join zoom with meeting id 835 1884 0845 with passcode 356433 to lives stream his service.

    It’s always useful to read such articles especially when you’re so distrustful as I am. From my own experience, there’s only one website whose authors I can believe – compacom.com as for many years I’ve been following their advice and guides and I’ve never been misled.

    David was my 2nd cousin. I have fond memories of visiting David and Sally in my childhood. My condolences to his family and friends.

    David was a client and became a friend of mine. He was a very witty person. The first time I called him regarding his insurance I had to leave a message and I didn’t realize John Wayne was his answering service. Always got a kick out of that. He was a good man and always had many story’s to tell. He also shared his faith with me. May he rest in peace.

    Dave was a caring man. He had a unique humor which made everyone laugh. He and I were married in the 80s. Very talented in many ways
