Dennis Walter Gullickson

Dennis Walter Gullickson, age 64, of West Salem, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at his home in Barre Mills, after a little more than five-year battle with cancer. Dennis was born on June 21, 1959, to Gerald and Mary Lou (Mosser) Gullickson.

He graduated from Logan High School in 1978. He worked at the La Crosse Rubber Mills for 23yrs, until they closed. Then went to work at Ace Distributing for 17yrs., until his diagnosis of cancer.

Dennis was a quiet, laid-back person, trying not to let things bother him. He liked living a simple life. He enjoyed playing softball, bowling and golfing in his younger years. His enjoyment as he got older was spending time with his daughter and grandchildren, watching old westerns and an occasional trip to the casino.

Dennis is survived by his daughter, Heather Bay; son, Chad Gullickson; and stepdaughter, Danielle Hesselberg; grandchildren, Hannah, Syniah, Curtis and Aven; his mother, Mary Lou Arentz; siblings, Donald (Cassandra)Gullickson, Wanda (Steve) Finn, David Gullickson, Darrel (Belia) Gullickson, and Darwin (Tari) Gullickson, numerous nieces and nephews; step siblings, Mike, Tom, Shirley & Chuck Arentz, Sharon Steinmetz, Pat Smith; and Nancy Gullickson.
Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Gullickson; stepfather, Mahlon Arentz; stepsister, Becky Arentz; and nephew, Keaton Bendel.

The family will receive friends from 11-12pm Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at The Gathering Place, 133 Mason St. in Onalaska.

    I remember Dennis in high school and he was a great person, nice and yes quiet. He was very cute by the way. Gone to soon. Condolences to his family and friends.
