Obituary

Donald “Don” Felton

June 10, 2019 | 14 comments

Donald Allen Felton, 51, of La Crosse found peace on June 7,2019.
He was born October 25,1967 to George and Annette (Fournier) Felton.
Don was a reserved artist, only sharing his talents with a select few. Beautiful paintings of secluded landscape, majestic scenery and empowering beauty.
He was a self taught musician, starting with his early education of percussion. He truly found his passion within the strings of a guitar. The Lonely release of the stress of life. Don’s love for music was an outlet for the hardship that struck him & his sisters at a very young age. Music was a salvation when times got tough.
Life’s hardships and griefs took his beautiful soul and shadowed it with seclusion. Don was an avid Nascar Fan and loved Alabama and Viking Football.
He knew he was loved by his family deeply. When you make peace with yourself, you make peace with the world.
Don is survived by his sisters, Debbie Warren, Denise Felton-Pagonis, Dianne Christianson; special nieces and nephews, Robby Warren, Malony Warren, Mandy Warren, Marcus Christianson and Skylar Christianson; and special friend, Christine Lutiger.
He is preceded in death by  his parents George and Annette Felton and Special Uncle Tommy Pagonis.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2019, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, in the Prairie Room, 133 Mason St. Onalaska.

I used to run into Don at Mirage occasionally about a decade ago. We d talk about the old times and what we were doing then. He was living by KT across from Walmart at the time. I always enjoyed running into him and shooting the breeze. He was truly a good man and friend! He is deeply missed. My condolences to his family. God bless and rest in peace my friend!

I lost contact with Don and all my old running buddies a while ago. Got some awesome memories from those days. He was a man of few words and many talents. He used to fall asleep in the weirdest places. I remember he lost his sandwich to Randy that way a couple times. I can only hope Don is somewhere jamin’ with the greats and reuniting with his dog Sabien. I am honoured to have known him and will remember him always.
