Donald Edwin Clements

HOLMEN, Wis. — Donald Edwin Clements, 91, passed away peacefully at home Monday, May 25, 2026.

Donald was born May 11, 1935, in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Don was known for his kind heart, quick sense of humor, and the love he shared with those around him. He proudly served 23 years in the National Guard, retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer. Don also drove truck for Roadway for about 20 years. He shared 66 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Mary, building a life centered around family, laughter, and love.

He especially cherished spending time with his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him endless joy throughout his life. Don enjoyed driving cars for the auction, gambling with family and friends, and spending many hours gathered around the table playing Mexican Train with his wife, Mary.

Donald is survived by his loving wife, Mary; his five children, Cheryl (Bob) Weber, Larry (Vicki) Clements, John (Bonnie) Clements, David (Gretchen) Clements, and Julie (Jamie) Nelson; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members, and friends who will deeply miss him.

Donald has joined his two children, Krista and Steve Clements, in heaven.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at St. Elizabeth’s from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will follow with military honors at Green Mound Cemetery in Holmen, Wisconsin.

    Dear Mary and family — So sorry for your loss. I first met Donny and the Clements family when I was 15 yrs old and met Kathy at Aquinas. Please pass my sympathy and prayers to the rest of the Clements family. I’m sure he was be deeply missed.
