Donald T Gaddes
Our Heavenly Father called home Donald T Gaddes on July 13,2020.
Don was born April 29, 1929 to parents Robert and Violet.
Don’s siblings are Elmer, Shirley, Darlene, and Russell.
Don served 4 years in the United States Air Force from 1950-1954. After being honorably discharged, Don began his career at Trempealeau Electric as a lineman.
He was well known as the “pole climber”, He retired in 1989.
Don married the love of his life, Karen Christensen in 1977. Together they blended two families into one. Don Jr (Jenn), LeeAnn (Randy), Sandra (Mark),
Rebecca (Frank), Karrie (Scott).
They had many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Don and Karen loved to travel and ride snow mobiles. They always had their constant companion “Teddy bear” with them. He passed on March 13, 2020
Don was a very compassionate man with a kind heart, he was also very funny. He could make up a joke or a story line on a drop of a dime.
Don loved to sit down to a good meal, but dessert by far was his favorite part.
Don was preceded in death by his wife Karen, his son Don Jr, brother Elmer, sister Shirley and both parents Robert and Violet.
Don was 91.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, July 24, visitation at 2:00, service at 3:00 at Community Celebration Church, 27401 County Highway 34, Kasson, MN, phone 507-634-1463. Pastor Steve Larson will be officiating, burial will follow the service at the Pine Island Cemetery in Pine Island MN.
Social distancing guidelines will be observed, masks are required.
