Donna J. Rattle, 84, of Onalaska, formerly of La Crosse, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Gundersen Hospital in La Crosse. She was born on February 9, 1935 to Francis and Isabel Shay. She married Francis Michael Rattle in Tomah. Donna worked as a bookkeeper for Doerflinger’s for 27 years and also for Fort McCoy until her retirement. She loved to play cribbage and bingo with her friends. Donna was a warm, loving, and generous person who touched people everywhere she went and was known to give to many different charities.

Donna is survived by her siblings, Richard Shay, Barbara King, Patrick (Pat) Shay, Mary Lou (Ron) Collins, Rosalee Shay, and Scott Shay; as well as many extended family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis; her parents; her brother, James Shay; her sister, Phyllis Butterfield; and 2 infant siblings.

In lieu of flowers, memorial preferred to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 10 AM, with visitation from 9:30 AM until the time of mass, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1031 Main St., Onalaska. Msgr. Steven Kachel will be officiating.
