Donna (Jaeger) Brueggeman
Donna Jaeger Brueggeman 77, of Sparta Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on July 24th, 2022 at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse WI surrounded by family and friends.
She was born on December 15th, 1944 to Raymond and Lorraine (Brendum) Jaeger. She married Dennis “Jerry” Brueggeman on August 5th, 1966 in Caledonia, MN.
Donna loved cooking and had a knack for decorating. She loved her HGTV shows, Christmas Hallmark movies and shopping. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends while drinking her Diet Pepsi.
She is survived by her 2 daughters, Shellie (Bob) Spors, Wendy (Jim) VonRuden; 2 special granddaughters, Chelsea (Matt) Bodoh, Nicole (Anthony) Cooper; 3 great grandchildren, Adelyn, Brayden and Rylee; 3 sisters, Joanie Jaeger, Pat Baker, Renee (Tom) Melde; 1 brother, Gary (Donna) Jaeger; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband and brother, Terry.
We would like to extend a special thank you to all of the nurses and staff at the Mayo Clinic – Cancer Center in La Crosse for making her feel loved and special. They always made her feel like she mattered. She always loved welcoming them by saying “the princess is here”.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all! Heart breaking! She was a beautiful person with a great sense of humor. Loved her so much.
Shelly and family, so sorry to hear about your mom’s passing. It is a pain you wonder if you can even endure. The beast of cancer, I’m sure made it even harder.
She is a memory of my teen years into young adult. She was cool, young, and I remember how close you two were back in the day. I am also sure that continued. Just know I am thinking of you and yours. Memories are flooding back. Thanks for sharing your mom with me. You will always be a true friend.
