Edith F. Kofta
Edith F. Kofta, 88, of Onalaska, passed away on Saturday afternoon, November 12,2022. She was born on June 4th, 1934, to Meta and Elmer (Homer) Howard, who both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by husbands; James Lyons and Ken Kofta; a son, Jeff Lyons; a son – in – law, Eldon Arnold, and a brother – in – law, Richard Lyons.
She is survived by her three children; Laurie Arnold, La Crosse; Jay (Diane) Lyons, La Crosse; Andrea (Scott) Zonick, Kimberly; two sisters; Phyllis Lyons and Patty (Allen) Hundt; three grandchildren, Jamie Arnold, LA Crescent; Brianna (Lucas) Gretzinger, Appleton; Brandon Zonick, Appleton; a very good friend Dave Standiford; a son – in –law, Les Sines; and many other relatives, friends, nieces, and nephews.
Edith was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother to our family. She loved to care for her grandchildren, garden, and taking care of her yard. Edith was a lifelong member of the American Legion Post 336 in Onalaska.
Family and friends are welcome to the American Legion, 731 Sand Lake Road. Onalaska, Wi; on Thursday, November 17th, 2022 for a Celebration of Life; 2PM-6PM, with a Time of Remembrance at 4PM.
Mom and Grandma; we cannot even put into words for us to know you are gone. Dementia took so many years away from us. We are going to miss laughing at your jokes and all the love you gave us.
