Evadine “Kevie” Ratajczek Vaughn

Evadine “Kevie” Ratajczek Vaughn of Holmen, WI formerly of Galesville, WI passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 14, 2023 at Gundersen Health System.  Kevie was born to Florence (Walske) and William Ratajczek, Sr. of Centerville, WI.  She married Harold “Butch” Vaughn on June 13, 1964 at Arcadia, WI.  They later divorced.

Kevie worked several places during her life.  She worked as a Customer Service Representative at The Company Store for over 30 years.  Her favorite job was as a Music Typist Artist at Hal Leonard Music in Winona, MN.

Kevie enjoyed spending time with friends and relatives.  Anyone close to her enjoyed her daily text messages.  She loved visiting Elmaro Winery as well as enjoying an Old Fashion beverage occasionally.  Kevie’s greatest joy in life were her two granddaughters, Taylor Greenwold and Blair Greenwold.  She spent a great deal of their younger years babysitting them.  Kevie enjoyed watching the girls participate in many activities, especially dancing and horseback riding.  She enjoyed keeping friends and relatives up to date on Taylor and Blair.  Kevie was extremely proud of the successful, strong, caring and kind young women they have become

Kevie is survived by a daughter, Tanya (Lee) Vaughn Johnson of Holmen, WI and two granddaughters Taylor (Jacob Goldenstein) Greenwold of Wichita, KS and Blair (Brody Jessesski) Greenwold of LaCrosse, WI.  She is also survived by many close cousins, friends and her special companion dog Daisy.

Kevie was preceded in death by her parents, Florence and William Ratajczek and a brother, William “Billy” Ratajczek, Jr.

A gathering to honor Kevie will be held Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 11 am to 2 pm at Coulee Region Cremation, 133 Mason Street, Onalaska, WI.  Burial will follow the gathering at Evergreen Cemetery, Centerville, WI.

    Tangi, I’m so sorry to read this about your mom!! She watched our Brandee for us when I worked at Hal Leonard and our toddler loved it at your home!! Your mom was such a lovely gal and time and distances got in the way of staying in touch after we moved to Minocqua. So sorry to hear of her passing and am thinking of you and your family daily.?????     Tango, Taylor and Blair- I am soo sorry to hear about Kevie. I remember all of our lunch dates and cute color parties! She was always dressed up so fabulous with her accessories and so fun to be around. We were lucky to have known her. I pray you all are able to find peace and healing from this sad loss.
