Fredrick V. Hayen Jr.
Fredrick Verne Hayen Jr., 71, died 26thof May, 2019 in La Crosse, Wisconsin after a long battle with cancer.
Fredrick was born November 20th 1947 in Sibley, Iowa to Fredrick Sr. and Eleanor Hayen. He graduated from Wayzata (MN) High School in 1965 and went on to Hamline University in St. Paul for a short time. He then relocated to the Los Angeles area, where he welcomed the birth of sons Donn and John. Later relocating to Minnesota, he attended Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis. After graduating, he began a career as a tool design engineer in precision manufacturing industries until his retirement in 2011. He also instructed in his field, both at his alma mater Dunwoody during his career and at Western Technical College after retirement. In retirement, Fredrick relocated to the La Crosse, Wisconsin area, where he remained until his passing.
He is survived by mother, Eleanor; sons Donn (Maria) and John (Penny); grandchildren Tyler, Dillon, Logan and Madeline; and partner Karen Scott. He was preceded in death by father Fredrick Sr. and sister Victoria.
All of the Kansas family have you all in our thoughts at this time. Fred was a good guy as we remember him today.

ANY FRED HAYEN IS A GOOD PERSON. MY GRANDPA WAS MY ONLY GRANDPA. HE WAS SO NICE TO ME AND LOVED SITTING IN A ROCKER WHERE I CUDDLED UP AND WENT TO SLEEP. WHEN GPA HAYEN DIED I WAS 7 AND STILL DISTRAUGHT. IT WW2S THE FIRST TIME I SAW MY DAD CRY. I PUT MY TINY ARMS AROUND MY DAD AND SAID ITS OKAY DAD GRANDPA IS HERE WE JUST CANT SEE HIM. IM SURE THIS FRED WAS GREAT TOO.
