Gene A. Borreson
Gene A. Borreson, 80, passed away Tuesday June 9, 2020, at Bluffview Memory Care Center in Holmen, Wi. with his daughter by his side. He was born March 30th, 1940 to Oscar and Marie (Bonsack) Borreson in La Crosse. Gene graduated from West Salem High School, class of 1958. In 1958 Gene bought a ‘32’ Model B Ford that he still owned. Gene worked at American Motors in Kenosha, WI. and later drove semi for different companies. Gene married Mary Schubert in 1963, resulting in two children and later divorced. Gene lived his later years in Stillman Valley, IL. Gene was preceded in death by his parents and sister Carla Bursell (2019). Gene is survived by his daughter Kimberly, West Salem, son Keith (Brooke) grandsons Ethan and Noah, Grand Rapids, MI, brothers David (Kay) Ankeny, IA and Jerry (Sandra) La Crosse, brother-in-law Lowell Bursell, Mpls, MN and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A private family graveside service is being planned at the Burns Cemetery in Bangor.
Gene & I were classmates in high school, Gene had a good heart and was a good friend.
