James Edward Otto (Jim), age 50, of Humbird passed away on July 3, 2021 at Gundersen Lutheran  Medical Center in Lacrosse, WI. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 10, 1971.He is the son of John Otto II and Nina Otto.

Jim was raised in Chicago, IL and moved to Humbird, WI in 1986. He attended Lincoln High School in Alma Center and graduated from there in 1990.  He then went on to continue his education at Chippewa Valley Technical College out of Eau Claire, WI, where he received his machining and tooling associates degree before returning to Illinois and realizing his heart belonged in Humbird where his family had spent summers and enjoying the family cabin.

Jim started his own family where he instilled his love for fishing and hunting with his daughters Cameron and Emily. He had the biggest sense of humor and an even bigger heart. He would terrorize his nephew’s over the years with numerous pranks every chance he got. He was a man who would do anything for his family and friends regardless of the situation.

Over the years Jim worked at Nelson Muffler, OEM and MEC as a machinist. He was also a member of the North Branch Rod and Gun Club.

Jim is survived by: His wife, Kerry (Theiler); children from a previous marriage, Cameron and Emily Otto; brothers, Charlie (Sally) Otto and Mike (Kristine) Otto; sisters Debbie Blevins and Ginger Otto; sister-in-law Julie Otto; and many nieces and nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, John Otto II.  mother Nina Otto; brothers Jeff Otto and John Otto III (Jack)
