Janice Ann Miller (Campfield), 89, of La Crosse, passed away peacefully at Eagle Crest South in La Crosse on Sunday, November 14, 2021.  She had fallen earlier in the week and broke her hip.  Due to her advanced Alzheimer’s Disease, her body was not strong enough to overcome this unfortunate accident.

She was born in La Crosse on June 17, 1932 to Mary Coonradt.  She was raised by her mom and the only dad she ever knew, Gregory McHenry.  She married Cecil Miller on November 8, 1952 in La Crosse.

She was a remarkable seamstress working at Desmond’s Formal Wear for most of her career.  She had an eye for quilting and her quilts were her masterpieces.  She was quite stingy with them so if you were lucky to receive one, she really loved you.  We are so very fortunate to have this lasting legacy.

She is survived by her sons Tracy (Liza) and Paul Miller, and her daughter Amy (Steve) Severson; grandchildren Travis (Traci), TJ (Maggie), Taylor (Ben), Tremaine, and Samuel Miller, Carly and Anthony (Brianna) Severson; great grandchildren Hayleigh and Maren Miller and Avery Severson.  She is further survived by her brother Gerald (Patricia) McHenry and sister Marlene Howard.

She is preceded in death by her husband Cecil, daughters Mary and Susan, and brother James Campfield.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, November 18 from 4-7 p.m. at Coulee Region Cremation Group in The Gathering Room. A buffet dinner will be served.
