John “Jack” Victor Riddle, 83, of Holmen, WI, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 13, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on August 5, 1942—sharing a birthday with his mother—John grew up in Madison, WI, as the son of Victor and Helen Riddle. He was known for his steady nature, quick wit, and the quiet strength that would define him throughout his life.

John married the love of his life, Eleanor, and together they built a partnership rooted in devotion, humor, and resilience. Over their 59 years of marriage, they created a home filled with warmth, hard work, and unwavering support for one another. Their life together was a testament to commitment and companionship.

A proud and loving father, John raised four children—John, Carrie, Doug, and Brian—instilling in them the values he lived by: integrity, kindness, and the importance of family. He took great joy in watching his family grow, and he cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren, Cayne, Corrie, and Anna,

John is survived by his wife, Eleanor; his children; his grandchildren and great‑grandchildren; his twin brother, Jim; and his sister, Vicky.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
