John Nicholas Lodoen, 66, of La Crosse passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 25th at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center. John was born in Indiana, March 1953 to Bonnie Joann Clark and Milton Wesley Lodoen. John grew up in the La Crosse area, lived and worked in Wisconsin and Michigan. John enjoyed watching baseball, listening to music, playing softball, golfing and fishing.

John married Joan Elkins in March 1975. Together they had twin daughters, Emily and Kelly. During this time, John worked at Inland Printing and G. Heileman Brewing Company. John and Joan divorced October 1987.

John married Penny Lebal in January 1989. Together they had two sons, Carl and Andre. During this time John worked at Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. John retired from BNSF in March 2015.

John is survived by his wife, four children, siblings; Dorn, Tim, Kari, Scott, Shalaine and four grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Andre Louise.
