Julian “Frank” Borja DeLeon, of Onalaska, passed away peacefully Saturday, Feb. 24, at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Rochester MN, at the age of 66. Julian was born in Sinajana Village, Guam to Enrique and Maria DeLeon. Julian was one of thirteen children, all boys. Upon graduating from High School, he joined the USMC and served from 1969 – 1971. Julian met his future wife Michelle and they were married on June 14, 1984 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was a fun-loving guy who loved to play poker, watch wrestling and spend time with his granddaughter Alexis.

Julian is survived by his wife, Michelle; daughters, Jessica (Shawn) Brantner of Onalaska and Danielle DeLeon of La Crosse; special friend, Rob of La Crosse; granddaughter, Alexis Brantner of Onalaska; and special cat, Riley. He is also survived by his mother in law, Marge Galstad; brothers in law, Jeff (Pam) Galstad and Mike (Stephanie) Galstad; sister in law, Lisa (Dave) Williams; and many nieces and nephews. Julian was preceded in death by his father in law, Clair Galstad.

The family would like to thank the staff at Saint Mary’s Hospital for their great care and wonderful support. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, March 3, from 10 AM to 12 PM, with military honors following, in the Prairie Room at Coulee Region Cremation Group, 133 Mason St., Onalaska.”
