Kathy Joan (Ludwigs) Carlson
Kathy Joan (Ludwigs) Carlson, 71, of Winona, MN, passed away on Thursday June 19, 2020, following a
courageous battle with cancer. The youngest daughter of Hilbert and Evelyn Ludwigs she was born in Le
Mars, IA on May 2, 1949. She was married to and later divorced from Vic Carlson.
Kathy was a member of Cedar Valley Lutheran Church. She enjoyed a number of hobbies including
cooking, baking, sewing, gardening, researching her family history and spending time with her family
and friends.
Kathy is lovingly survived by her sons, Thomas (Sandy Stutzka), Adam (Rhonda Hofer), Daniel (Carissa
Barnes) and Matthew (Samantha Bourgeois), her grandchildren Tim (Kelsey), Domingo, Dacoda, Lizzie,
her first great grandchild due in July, her sisters Dianne (Ed) Roepke and Karen Connelly, many nephews,
relative and friends, as well as her pets Angel and Precious.
She was preceded in death by her son David and her parents, Hilbert and Evelyn.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions a private family service with a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Thinking of the Carlson family at this difficult time. Our hearts go out to the whole family as do our prayers.

Tom, Sandy, Adam & Rhonda: I send my sympathy to you & all of the family. I don’t know the younger family members, but I know you older kids remember me.
