Kyle Harris Sacia

December 30, 2021 | 43 comments

Kyle Harris Sacia, 40 of Winona, MN went to his heavenly home on Monday December 27, 2021, after a brief illness.

Kyle was born July 14, 1981, in La Crosse, WI to Mark and Shirley (Harris) Sacia. He grew up in Onalaska, WI, attended Onalaska High School, and graduated in 2000.  He attended Winona State University, where he made lifelong friends.   On October 27, 2018, Kyle married the love of his life, Kattie (Bredehoft) Sacia.

Kyle was currently employed at Merchants Bank and had worked at Fleet Farm, Home Depot, and The Freight House in the past, along with farming with his dad, Mark, on their family farm.  During his life he loved to be outdoors which fostered a love of fishing, hunting, and trapshooting.   He shot his first registered target at the age of 12 and through his love of trapshooting built family and lifelong friends.

While Kyle’s time here on earth was cut short, he always lived his life to the fullest and never met a stranger that didn’t become a friend.  He was an incredible husband, son, uncle, and the best big brother to Kara.  He took on many new adventures with laughter and humor. He was loved by all who knew him and was a shining light to the world as a living example of kindness. He was truly blessed, and he will be dearly missed by many.

Kyle’s memory will be carried on by his wife Kattie, parents Mark and Shirley Sacia, sister Kara Sacia (Seth Leonard), mother-in-law Diana Bredehoft; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Jennifer (Bredehoft) and Chris Haley; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Misty (Robinson) and Joshua Obermier; aunts Lorene Harris, Beth Sacia Douglas, Sylvia Chassner (Rob); uncles Robert Harris (Becky), Tracy Sacia (Renee Frazier); cousins Ray (Lizzy) Harris, Peter Harris (Lisa Shapiro), Amanda (Greg) Bardosy, Cody (Rachel) Olsen and David Olsen (Emily Heaser), Jonathan Harrison; and nephews Cameron Haley, Wyatt Obermier, Jerrod Haley and Wade Obermier.

Kyle is proceeded in death by his maternal grandparents Fern and Raymond (Bumpy) Harris, paternal grandparents Leon and Marianne Sacia, and aunt Kay Sacia.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Wisconsin Trap Shooting Association.

A Celebration of his life will be held on Monday, January 3rd, 2022 at the Pleasant Valley Church, 1363 Homer Road, Winona, MN, at 11:00 am.  Pastor Joe McConkey will be our celebrant.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until the time of service at the church.

My deepest sympathies to Katie, Mark, Shirley, and Kara. The news of Kyle’s passing was a true shock. He will be sorely missed by many because of the person he was. He was that way from little on up. His kindness and gentle ways made him so approachable and easy to know as well as fun to be around. And if those qualities didn’t win you over his smile would. You are all in my thoughts and prayers as is he.

  33. Bryan Morris (Onalaska Hockey alumni group)

Dear Sacia Family. I have fond memories of watching Kyle play hockey, and many memories of him hanging out at the rink with a big smile on his face.
I also remember working open skate and seeing Kyle fly around the rink, wearing his hockey gloves (like a true hockey player would) and joyously skating, laughing with friends.

I am so sorry for your loss, and from the Onalaska Hockey alumni group, we send our condolences. May his memory live on in your family, as it will in all of us hockey friends.

  34. Russ Slaby

    Mark, Kattie,
I don’t know what to say. I just learned of this from T&A. My heart aches for you both.
Kyle was one of my most favorite trap shooting friends. He always stopped to say hi. He let me shoot his Perrazi. He was always an incredibly nice person. I loved shooting with you both. I was looking forward to more of that. This really hurts. I know what it is like to share a passion with your son, Mark. I can’t imagine your pain.
Mark, I pray for you and family. Please let me know if we cross paths at a shoot.
    I am so sorry.
    Russ Slaby
