Larry LaVerne Johnson
Larry LaVerne Johnson, 66, of Onalaska, passed away December 13, 2019. He was born on October 15, 1953 in La Crosse, the son of LaVerne and Lois (Fonstad) Johnson.
Larry loved his Packer and Badgers. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and loved sharing these interests with his family. Larry married his loving wife Teri, his high school sweetheart, and they had three children. Larry ran his painting business for over 40 years, loved woodworking, and loved time with family and friends. He loved cooking, entertaining, and playing music for his family and friends.
Larry is survived by his wife, Teri of 47 years; children, Ryan Johnson of Onalaska, Whitney (Chad) Wacker of La Crosse, and Nikolas (Elizabeth) Johnson of La Crosse; in-laws, Dean (Julie) Coates of La Crosse, Tracey (Todd) Shaffer of Holmen; 2 sisters; many nieces, nephews, pets and grand-pets.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law, Patricia Coates; brothers-in-law, Mike Coates and Steve Coates.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at The Gathering Place, 133 Mason St., Onalaska.

Larry was an amazing guy who was like another Dad to us both, always making us feel at home and apart of the family. We will miss his great sense of humor, amazing cooking, his laugh and smile. He was truly an incredible man who we are so glad to say we knew, rest in peace Larry, until we see you again ❤️
