Lawrence “Larry” Waters age 80, of Holmen passed away Tuesday January 9 th , 2024, at Mayo Hospital in
LaCrosse,surroundedby his loving family.
Larry was born June 3 rd , 1943, to Vincent and Mayme Waters.
He married Mary (Schwarzthoff) 1965-1987. Together they had 3 children, Lisa, Dan and Dave.
Larry grew up in New Albin, IA. He graduated from New Albin-Lansing high school in 1961.
He served in the Army Reserve from 1962-1968, moving to Holmen in 1965.
Larry enjoyed fishing on Third Lake with Jill his sweetheart of many years, playing cards at the Legion
with his buddies, and mostly spending time with his family, he made sure he always had time even if
the visit was long or short always ending with his big smile and favorite saying “ Catch ya Later”
Larry was the sweetest man and will be missed by many.
Larry is survived by his sweetheart Jill (Woyczik) his brother Robert and (Phyliss) Waters. His 3 children
Lisa (John) Happel, Dan (Jennifer) Waters, Dave (Carey) Waters. Grandchildren Mariah, Zach, Payton and
Gracie. Plus, his favorite kitty Peanut.
Larry is Preceded in death by his parents Vincent and Mayme Waters.

In Lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the Holmen American Legion.
Per Larry’s wishes the family will be hosting a Celebration of Life at the Holmen American Legion on
Sunday January 21 st , 2024, from 1PM-4Pm with Military honors at 2PM.
