LuAnne Mary (Rudy) Hotchkiss, 64, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2018, surrounded by loved ones

Born May 20, 1954 to Roswell and Wilma (Strassburg) Rudy. LuAnne grew up in La Crosse and continued to raise her family there as well, creating lifelong friendships and lasting memories. She had a love for people and worked many years as a waitress, ending her career at Nutbush City Limits. LuAnne was known for her bubbly personality and “energizer bunny” stamina.

She is survived by the love of her life, Randy Ziebell; her brother William(Barbara) Rudy; her children Amber Hotchkiss-Marquardt and Nick(Angie) Hotchkiss, Caleb(Vanessa) Ziebell and Asa(Katie) Ziebell; her grandchildren Chelsea(Travis) Lechner, Andrew Hotchkiss, Sydney Neader, Tighe Hotchkiss, McKenna Hotchkiss, Ava and Piper Ziebell and Clementine Ziebell; her great-grandchildren Payton and Liahna Lechner, Jaxton Neader and Addie Hotchkiss; her ex-husband and friend Ronald Hotchkiss and her very best friend and soul sister Debbie Degenhardt, along with many other close friends and loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roswell and Wilma Rudy, her sister Sharon(Rudy) Hansen and her brother-in-law Patrick Hansen, along with her furbabies Ebony and Lily.

LuAnne enjoyed the outdoors especially kayaking and boating. Her and Randy have lived many years on their houseboat, allowing them to be surrounded by what they love. LuAnne had a special bond with her family and will be greatly missed by them all, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

A memorial service will be held at 11AM on Thursday, July 19th, in the Prairie Room, at Coulee Region Cremation Group, 133 Mason Street, Onalaska, with visitation one hour prior at 10 AM. Chaplain Jeff Thomson will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are preferred.

Our deepest sympathy to Amber, Nick and Chelsea Hotchkiss! I was their second grade teacher and remember LuAnne from Holy Trinity. She was a great Mom and had a wonderful smile! I know that she is now happy in heaven with her other family members. Rest in peace, LuAnne!

I’m soo sorry to hear of Luannes passing. She was one of my favorite cousins. She was always so upbeat with such a bubbly personality. Even tho we didn’t get to see each other often, because of the miles between us, I will certainly miss her. She will always brighten my heart.
