Mandy Lee Evans, age 51, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 9th, 2020 at Gunderson Lutheran Hospital in Lacrosse, Wisconsin. Mandy was diagnosed with stage 3 Uterine cancer on December 6th, 2019 and we were very fortunate to have the time we did with her.

Mandy was born on March 10th,1968 in Lancaster, Ohio to Mark and Stephanie Thomas. She graduated from Yerling Hall High School in 1986.

Prior to Mandy’s life in Wisconsin she resided with Danny Evans with whom she married and had Sarah in Columbus Ohio; Later having two more daughters Katiera and Tamarah that she raised on her own. Mandy was a single mom raising three girls, maintaining a house, and a career at CSX Railroad.

Mandy enjoyed a life of thrilling activities. At one point owning a motorcycle, joining the Air Force, and her many scuba diving adventures. Towards the end her passion for scrapbooking and decorating were parts of her personality that even the shackles of cancer could not break In her final days she was surrounded by her daughters and two cats that she loved very much.

Mandy fulfilled something that was of the utmost importance to her which was the upbringing of three responsible, caring, and independent daughters.

Mandy was such a giving and loving soul – I’ve missed you all since you moved, and wish we had been able to spend more time together- there’s never enough time when something this heartbreaking happens. She holds a special place in my heart – and think of her every time I pass by Graeter’s Ice Cream. Love you girls, I have no doubt you’ll do your momna proud!!

Mommy, you leaving this world has been the most difficult thing I’ve ever gone through. You can never fully know how much you truly care for someone until it’s too late. I hope I didn’t take these time with you for granted mommy.

It hurts every morning I wake and know you’re not there for me to call… or there to bring you your morning coffee.

I love you sooo much mommy.

Tamarah, this obituary is beautiful. I’m also so thankful for my 2 sisters for whom without idk what I’d do.

    Much love,

    Your oldest daughter Sarah
