Marvin Otto Blihovde

Marvin Otto Blihovde 89, of Coon Valley, WI passed away peacefully on January 17, 2024 in La Crosse.

He was born November 16, 1934 to Otto and Gertie Blihovde. He was married to Judy Henley from 1959 – 1978 and to Sharon Hrncir 1981 – 2005.

Marvin Loved entertaining people all across the country as a musical/comedy duo Dennis & Cree. He loved country music, the Green Bay Packers, golf, driving, his Christian faith and his family.

Marvin is survived by three sisters, one brother, two former wives and his two sons and two daughters.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Otto Blihovde (1984), Gertie Gilbertson Blihovde (1994) and his youngest son Sam Barter Dennis (2016).

The family would like to thank the incredible, loving staff at Bethany Riverside Transitional Care Center and to Lisa Hass for always being there as his primary care person in La Crosse.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials can be made to the family of Marvin Blihovde, W5655 Highway 33 #71 La Crosse, WI 54601 C/O Lisa Hass.

    Oh how I miss my funny, loving friend Marvin. He sure did like to laugh, tell great stories, watch his Packers, and tell tales of his family and his years in entertainment. He loved the last two the most for sure! Marv, I hope you are having the time of your life now in glory! Keep them all entertained and smiling! You sure did that for me! Love you forever my friend, miss you so!
