Matthew Steven Ringleman
It is with our deepest sympathy to announce the passing of Matthew Steven Ringleman,34, due to complications from surgery. Matt was born into eternal life on March 13,2019 at Gunderson Health System in La Crosse, WI, with his loving family and friends by his side.
Matt had many interests and accomplishments during his life. Matt thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors. He loved going for walks in his wheelchair, camping, sitting around campfires with friends and family, and really enjoyed listening to and singing all genres of music. Some of his major accomplishments in life besides being a “preemie” survivor include graduating high school, being an aptiv C.O.R.E. graduate, earning his metal(s) for participation in Special Olympics, and his award from Goodwill. Additional personal achievements that Matt was extremely proud of are that he learned how to walk with the aid of a walker and braces plus being able to stand on his own for 1 second. Following his death, Matt continued his achievements by giving the gift of life as an organ donor and saving others lives.
Matthew loved people. He would socialize with everybody he ran into. Matt was a great listener and never judged anyone or expressed his opinions because he knew you just needed someone to talk to. Matt was an extremely caring person and would always call his friends or family to ask them how it’s going, especially if he knew you might be going thru a rough time, or if he just wanted to shoot the breeze. He always wanted the best for his mother and didn’t put up with anyone’s b.s.
Matt is survived by his mother Della (Eddie) Figueroa, father Steven (Tina) Ringleman; brother Nicholas; sister, Olivia (Kit); step-sisters, Tabitha (Max), Jessica, Jennelle (Derrick); grandparents, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 12 PM, Saturday, March 23,2019, at Coulee Region Cremation Group, 133 Mason Street, Onalaska, with visitation to begin at 10 AM until the time of the service. Luncheon to follow memorial service, all friends and family are welcome.

I had many interesting conversations with Matt at Aptiv. He was so kind, funny, and caring. Where ever he was, he smiled and made others around he feel welcomed. He will be missed.

Rod and I are deeply saddened by loss of Matt. He was cool dude. His spirit will live on in the organs that he donated, so he not really truly gone just not visible to us in the form we knew.

I worked as job coach with Matt at Goodwill. I found him to always be cooperative and friendly. I am sure he will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
