Michael James Johnson

February 24, 2023 | 14 comments

Michael James Johnson, 49, of Mindoro, Wisconsin passed away on February 22, 2023.
He was born on December 27, 1973 to Varene Doty in Caldwell, Idaho. As a small boy, he and his parents (Varene and William Johnson) moved to Wisconsin.
On September 22, 2001 Mike married the love of his life, Amy. In May 2004 they welcomed their daughter Kaia into the world and their life was complete.
Mike’s whole world was his family, which he loved with his whole heart. He was a stranger to no one, with his caring personality, warm and genuine hugs, along with words and acts of compassion. When not taking care of his girls, Amy & Kaia, he took great pride in his construction business and family.
He is survived by the loves of his life: wife, Amy and daughter, Kaia. He is further survived by his mom and step dad, Varene & Jerry Bettesworth; his siblings Jay Dee Johnson, Taylor (Leah) Johnson, Billi (Lee) Schauer, Lori (Glenn) Johnson, and Todd Johnson; mother in law Cindy Adamson (Jack Haldeman); mother in law, Diane Kendhammer and sister in law, Megan (Kyle) Letner; brother in laws Jeremy (Missy) Kendhammer and Jayd Adamson; former father in law, Tim Adamson; many nieces and nephews Joe, Jeri, Josh, Devon, Drake, Parker, Torin, Brynn, Maybellene, and Jolene; and his furbabies Finn and Daisy.
He is preceded in death by his dad, William Johnson; his father in law, Glen Kendhammer, and his grandparents.
Thank you to Coulee Region Cremation Group and everyone who has reached out to the family during this time. Your thoughts, prayers, and words have not gone unnoticed.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are preferred.
Mike’s celebration of life will be held on Thursday March 2, 2023 at The Gathering Place, 133 Mason St Onalaska, WI. A visitation will be held from 4pm-6pm with a service by Chaplain Jeff Thomson following the visitation at 6pm.
In honor of Mike, please go out into the world and spread a smile and a hug.

Condolences
